FAQ
### FAQ
- **What is this service?**
- I will knit your fingering weight sock yarn into a tube, ready for you to add cuffs, heels, and toes.
- **What can I send?**
- You can send one 100g skein or two 50g skeins of sock yarn for cranking.
- **How does it work?**
- Most sock yarns knit to 8-9 stitches and 10-12 rows per inch. Measure around your foot to choose the right stitch count, accounting for negative ease.
- *60 stitches yield about 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm) in circumference.*
- **Can I reserve yarn for cuffs, heels, and toes?**
- Yes, you can choose to reserve approximately 20 grams of yarn for those purposes, or use your own contrasting/coordinating yarn.
- **What if I don’t receive a message after ordering?**
- If you don’t receive my shipping address within 48 hours, please check your spam folder.
- **How long will it take?**
- I will crank the yarn into a tube within 2 weeks of receiving it.
- **Is there any waste yarn?**
- Yes, each end of the tube will have waste yarn attached. If you order multiple skeins, they will be cranked into one long tube with waste yarn separating them.
- **How will my finished tube be shipped?**
- Your finished tube will be shipped back to you, and any shipping overages will be refunded if you order multiple tubes.
- **What type of yarn can you crank?**
- I can only work with fingering/sock weight yarn. Please do not send thicker yarn, including sport weight.
- **What if I want my other items shipped sooner?**
- If you order other items along with cranking services, they will ship together when the service is complete. For immediate shipping of those items, please place a separate order.
- **Is this a finished product?**
- No, this is a service only and does not include finished socks.
